Diocesan Picnic at Culbokie on the Black Isle - 26th. May 2009

There were about 50 people who attended the picnic at the home of Carol & Martin Roff  to meet with Rosemary Kempsall the Worldwide President ,Sheila Redwood our Provincial President and their husbands.

Bishop Mark Strange got proceedings under way with mid-day prayers, and then everyone was free to eat, chat, ride the train, play croquet, try out the maze and generally enjoy the extensive gardens.

After a brief shower around noon, the weather turned sunny and warm, and a visit from a dozen ten day old ducklings, made everyone smile.

One of the highlights of the day was when Rosemary, Sheila & Lynne (The Diocesan President) enrolled three new members, and welcomed another member from the South, into the Diocese.

Some members from the Aberdeen Diocese made the long journey across to join us, and  thanks go to everyone who made it such a lovely day.
