Drama: Jean’s Story
This is a drama based on quotations from women interviewed as part of the ‘Out of the Shadows’ project. They form a composite story – of a typical pattern of abusive relationships and then illustrating some of the support and resources need to help ‘Jean’ on her courageous journey out of the shadows.
It encourages us to considers how, and where, churches and Christian people colluded with the violence, and where they were able to stand alongside Jean in her struggle to leave the abuse behind and find new hope for her life.

Drama: The Empty Chair
This drama, written by Ann Glenesk, has the aim of assisting faith communities to lay open the issue of domestic abuse to the grace and healing power of God and to give victims and survivors of abuse space to tell their story.
The drama will also raise awareness of the key issues of domestic abuse.
