Double Celebration at Broughty Ferry
The 50th Anniversary of the Mothers’ Union at Broughty Ferry and the 94th birthday of Betty Kiddie, one of their staunchest members, were two reasons to rejoice on 22nd September 2008.
The grand occasion began with a Eucharist, with the diocesan chaplain Dr Marian Keston presiding. In his sermon Bishop John Mantle challenged the Mothers’ Union to support their clergy in the preparation of couples for marriage “The Mothers’ Union has a great deal to offer in helping young couples and supporting clergy”
Betty Forsyth (original branch member), Betty (cutting cake), Rosemary Stirling (branch leader).
